Work Remote SA

A learning platform that teaches, certifies and takes payment on its own.

Work Remote SA prepares South Africans for remote roles with international digital agencies. We built the whole platform: a conversion-focused website, a custom learning system, certificates generated on completion and payments built in, all run from an admin command centre that covers content, students, marketing, money and the team's own tasks.

The brief

A course business needs more than a course.

Selling an online course usually means stitching together a website builder, a course platform, a payment provider and a certificate tool, each with its own login, fees and limits. Every join is a place where a student gets stuck or a sale is lost.

Work Remote SA wanted one platform that markets the course, takes payment, delivers the curriculum and certifies students, and one place for the team to run the whole business behind it.

What it had to do

  1. 01Avoid per-student platform fees and design limits.
  2. 02Handle payments, access and certificates without manual admin.
  3. 03Make a clear, fast case for the course that converts.
  4. 04Give the team one back office for content, students, marketing and finance.

What we built

Learn, certify and pay, run from one command centre.

Everything a student touches runs on one system, and everything the team does runs from one admin.

01

The website

  • Conversion-focused pages

A fast, server-rendered site that explains the opportunity, lays out the curriculum and leads to enrolment.

  • Pricing and enrolment

A clear path from the pricing page to a paid, active account.

02

The platform

  • Custom LMS

The curriculum delivered module by module, behind a student login.

  • Automatic PDF certificates

When a student completes the course, their certificate is generated as a PDF without anyone lifting a finger.

  • Integrated payments

Paystack checkout on the platform, with access granted straight away.

  • Student tools

A CV builder, a jobs board, a document library and an AI study assistant, all inside the student dashboard.

03

The admin command centre

  • Content

A built-in CMS for blog posts, pages, media, menus and categories, plus course, resource and jobs management.

  • People and growth

Users, a leads CRM with a page per lead, an affiliate programme with commissions, and student progress and engagement tracking.

  • Communications

Automated email journeys, campaigns and the newsletter, a chat inbox for the website assistant, reviews and per-module student feedback.

  • Finance and credentials

Paystack transactions, certificates with public verification links, CV review and a Fast Track CV scoring tool.

  • AI study assistant

The assistant's prompts and settings are managed from the admin, with insights into what students are asking.

  • Team tasks

A drag-and-drop task board, so the team plans its own work in the same place it runs the business.

How it works

From first visit to certificate.

Each step hands over to the next automatically, so a student can enrol at midnight and start learning immediately.

A student's path

  1. Step 1

    Discover

A visitor reads about the opportunity and works through the curriculum overview.

  2. Step 2

    Enrol and pay

They choose a plan and pay on the platform. Their account opens immediately.

  3. Step 3

    Learn

They sign in and work through the course, module by module.

  4. Step 4

    Get certified

On completion, a PDF certificate is generated for them automatically.

Outcomes

One platform instead of a dozen tools.

The value is in what the team no longer has to do, or pay for elsewhere.

  • 20modules in one admin command centre

CMS, CRM, email, affiliates, finance, certificates and tasks in one back office, instead of a separate subscription for each.

  • 1platform for courses, certificates and payments

No separate course tool, certificate tool or website builder to pay for and keep in sync.

  • 0certificates made by hand

Every certificate is generated by the system when a student completes the course.

Under the hood

The decisions you don't see.

Owned, not rented

Because the learning system is custom, there are no per-student platform fees and no limits on design or features.

Fast where it counts

The marketing pages are server-rendered, so they load quickly and are easy for search engines to read.

Built to run the business

The admin is the biggest part of the build: twenty modules, grouped into content, people and growth, communications, finance and credentials, and project management.
